About DEWA
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is a government-owned utility company formed in 1992 by amalgamating the Dubai Electricity Company and the Dubai Water Department. DEWA is the only water and electricity utility company in the Emirate of Dubai and supplies electricity and water to more than 1.2 million customers.
The company aims to provide quality and efficient services by using sustainable and innovative solutions. DEWA has played a key role in the enhancement of Dubai’s energy sector, especially in the Solar Park project led by the Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
For the first half of 2024, DEWA recorded a consolidated revenue of AED 13.7 billion, 7.3 per cent higher than the first half of 2023.
The company’s strategic directions are in sync with the leadership of Dubai in the context of the sustainable development of the city, especially the use of clean energy resources and the application of smart solutions to improve service quality and organizational performance.
